Display Setup

Venue Display Setup for Live Scoreboards

OmniScore can run as a venue scoreboard on any screen that can open a browser. Use the Viewer page on a TV, projector, or display computer while the scorekeeper updates the board from the Owner Console or Shared Control link.

How venue display works

The display device only needs the Viewer page. Control stays on a separate device so the public screen remains clean and readable.

  • Open the Viewer page on the screen connected to the TV or projector.
  • Keep the Owner Console on a private device for setup and recovery.
  • Use Shared Control when a sideline scorer should update the live score.
  • Refresh the display before the event if team names or colors were changed.

Good display environments

  • School gyms using a wall-mounted TV or projector.
  • Temporary tournament courts with a laptop connected by HDMI.
  • Practice games that need a simple visible score without hardware setup.
  • Watch parties or overflow rooms where viewers need the live score.

FAQ

Does the venue display need to be logged in?

No. The venue display should use the Viewer link. The signed-in Owner Console should stay on the owner device.

Can one board show on multiple venue screens?

Yes. Open the same Viewer link on multiple screens and they will follow the same live board state.
