OBS Scoreboard Overlay Documentation

OmniScore works in OBS through a browser source. The Viewer page provides the scoreboard display, while the score can be updated from the Owner Console or a Shared Control link on another device.

Overlay workflow

The streaming computer displays the Viewer link in OBS, and a scorer updates the board from the control link.

  1. 1

    Create or open a board

Use the Owner Console to configure teams, colors, clock behavior, and game state.

  2. 2

    Copy the Viewer URL

The Viewer URL is the page OBS should display. It is separate from the private control surfaces.

  3. 3

    Add it to OBS

Create a browser source in OBS, paste the Viewer URL, and size it for your scene.

  4. 4

    Score from another device

Use the Owner Console or Shared Control link from a phone or laptop. The OBS overlay updates automatically.

Recommended OBS source settings

Source type
Browser Source
Width
1920 for full HD scenes, or match your canvas width
Height
1080 for full-screen layouts, or crop for compact scorebugs
Refresh behavior
Refresh the source before going live if the board was edited during setup

When to use a Shared Control link

Shared Control is useful when the stream operator should not also run the score. Send the link to a trusted scorekeeper, keep the Viewer link in OBS, and keep the Owner Console available for configuration or recovery.

FAQ

Does OBS need a plugin for OmniScore?

No. OmniScore uses the standard OBS browser source, so no custom OBS plugin is required.

Which OmniScore link should go into OBS?

Use the Viewer link in OBS. Control links should stay with the people updating the score.
